Mobile App Development
We build mobile applications for iOS and Android, designed alongside your existing systems, and stay involved through the store release process.
Talk to us about this serviceFor most companies the mobile app is the face of the brand people open most often. It is also the most constrained place to work: a small screen, unreliable connectivity, two separate sets of store rules, and a user who decides in seconds.
Do you actually need an app
Not every need calls for an app. If usage is occasional and device capabilities are not involved, a good mobile web experience gets there faster and cheaper. An app earns its place when notifications, offline use, camera, location, on-device storage, or frequent repeat usage are part of the picture. We make that call in the first conversation.
Designed together with the backend
The quality of a mobile app largely depends on the API behind it. An app meant to work on a weak connection forces decisions about pagination, caching, retries, and conflict resolution up front. So the app and the services it talks to are treated as one design problem, not two projects.
Builds and distribution
Test builds go through a pipeline: every build is compiled, signed, and delivered to test devices automatically. That shortens the feedback loop and reduces store submission to a routine step. Release notes, versioning, and the rollback path are defined in advance.
After launch
Launch is not the end of the work but the start of measurement. Crash reports, per-release error rates, and core usage metrics are set up so it becomes visible where users drop off. Updates are prioritised against that data.
What you end up with
- An app published on the App Store and Google Play
- The API and backend services the app talks to
- An automated build and distribution pipeline
- Crash and usage monitoring in place
- Store accounts and signing certificates held in your name
Technologies we use
- React Native / Expo
- TypeScript
- Swift
- Kotlin
- Push notification infrastructure
- In-app purchases
How the work runs
- 01
Scope and flows
We settle what job the app does and what the main screen flows are.
- 02
Interface and prototype
Screens are designed and the flow is walked through on a clickable prototype before it is built.
- 03
Build
App and backend move together, and every build reaches test devices.
- 04
Store release
Store listings, privacy declarations, and the review process are handled.
- 05
After release
Crash reports and usage data are monitored, and updates are planned against them.
Frequently asked questions
Native or cross-platform?+
It depends on the requirements. Without heavy device access or unusual performance needs, shipping to both stores from one codebase costs less; where it is needed, a native module is written for that part.
Whose name are the store accounts in?+
Apple Developer and Google Play accounts are opened in your name. Certificates and signing keys are yours as well; we work with delegated access.
How long does store review take?+
Review time depends on the stores' own queues and cannot be guaranteed. To reduce the odds of rejection, privacy declarations, permission strings, and content rules are checked before submission.
Will you take over an existing app?+
Before taking one on we review the code, dependencies, and release pipeline. At the end of that review you get the case for continuing versus rewriting, with the reasoning.
